iConnectData, usually abbreviated ICD, is Comdata’s web-based account-management environment for business payment programs.
It is broader than a Fintwist employer portal and broader than a fleet-card dashboard. Comdata publishes ICD resources for proprietary fleet, Mastercard fleet, travel/purchasing and virtual-payment customers, among others.
The user’s product and permissions determine which functions appear.
Who Uses iConnectData?
Comdata’s product documentation identifies users including:
- fleet industry managers;
- owner-operators;
- program administrators.
The portal can provide tools for card management, transaction activity, reporting and billing.
Fintwist employer administrators can also encounter ICD through Branded Debit workflows documented separately by Comdata.
The Main Menu
Comdata describes an ICD navigation structure with up to seven principal options.
Home
Returns to the ICD home page.
Manage
Contains operational tools such as card maintenance, card ordering and real-time transaction functions.
Reporting
Links to reporting systems including reportQ and, for applicable accounts, Business Intelligence.
Find
Can provide location-related tools.
Payment Center
Contains billing-related features such as online payment options and available-credit information where supported.
Resource Center
Provides product documentation and educational material.
Help
Contains support-related options.
The exact functions underneath those headings depend on user permissions.
Why Permissions Matter So Much
Suppose a colleague says:
“Go to Payment Center and click Pay On Account.”
You open ICD and that option is missing.
That does not automatically mean you are in the wrong portal.
Comdata says Pay On Account appears for accounts configured for Electronic Bill Pay. Customers using another payment method may not have access to the module.
Likewise, another user may have reporting access you do not.
The interface is a reflection of account configuration as much as a fixed website design.
Card Management
Depending on the program, ICD can support card-oriented functions such as:
- searching;
- editing;
- ordering;
- blocking;
- managing account-related card data.
Product-specific Resource Center pages show different card functions across fleet, travel/purchasing and virtual-payment programs.
Therefore, “iConnectData card management” is a category, not one universal workflow.
Real-Time Transaction Activity
Comdata’s Real Time Transaction History tool can show authorized, posted and declined transactions.
Its documentation also describes additional statuses such as credit and disputed activity and allows searches to be filtered by values including account, customer, card or transaction status.
This is useful when the question is operational:
Why was a card declined?
Has a transaction posted?
What happened on this account?
Reporting
Comdata updated its reportQ documentation in June 2026.
reportQ provides preformatted Quick Reports and can generate PDF or Excel output depending on the selected report.
This is different from searching individual real-time transactions.
Our iConnectData Reporting and Billing Guide compares those tools in detail.
Invoices
Current Comdata documentation places statements and invoices under:
Payment Center > My Invoices
Users can search available reports by criteria such as report type, account code, customer ID and date.
The same Payment Center can expose online payment functionality when the account configuration supports it.
Fintwist Administration
For Fintwist-related employer programs, Comdata documents Branded Debit functions under Manage.
The available reports include card listing, load and daily invoice information.
This is why people searching for Fintwist can encounter iConnectData even though an ordinary cardholder’s main day-to-day interface is different.
Is iConnectData an Employee HR Portal?
Not in the general sense.
ICD is oriented around Comdata payment-program administration.
It should not automatically be equated with an employer’s:
- HRIS;
- benefits portal;
- timekeeping platform;
- recruiting site;
- general employee intranet.
An organization may use separate systems for all of those functions.
Troubleshooting by Symptom
You Cannot Sign In
Use official account-recovery functions or the administrator/support process associated with the organization’s ICD account.
You Can Sign In but Cannot See a Module
Investigate permissions and product configuration.
A Transaction Is Missing
Determine whether Real Time Transaction History or another applicable reporting tool contains the relevant status.
An Invoice Is Missing
Use My Invoices and the appropriate search criteria.
You Cannot Pay an Invoice Online
Determine whether the account is configured for Electronic Bill Pay.
This layer-by-layer approach avoids treating every ICD problem as a password problem.
Use Official Authentication Only
A legitimate independent guide should explain iConnectData without pretending to be iConnectData.
Never enter your ICD username or password into [PUBLICATION NAME].
Use verified Comdata services for authentication.
